What do you do?
I’m a member of Georgetown Rugby Football Club, Georgetown Speech Writers and an occasional member of the International Relations Club.
Will you donate to Georgetown and why?
Probably not, because I am Scottish and we are notoriously stingy.
What do you hope Georgetown will help you accomplish?
I hope Georgetown will provide me the first step on a long and productive career path.
What’s your favorite class you’ve taken at Georgetown?
My favorite class was a history seminar on the history of war and peace in Europe. It was a discussion, it was fascinating. Everyone in the class was really interested in the subject. It was great to discuss history with like-minded individuals.
Where are you from? Compare and contrast it to Georgetown. Where are you more comfortable?
I’m from southwest London, which is quite similar to the Georgetown area in that it’s quite an affluent part of London, much in the same way that Georgetown is an affluent part of D.C. But at the same time, London as a city is much, much bigger than D.C. and sometimes you feel that the Georgetown area is just a little bit small, a bit packed — overcrowded in a certain way — whereas I don’t really get that sensation in London because there’s just so much more.
What’s your greatest fear?
Failure.
What do you do for “me time”?
I watch TV, play sports, watch sports on TV.
What would you change about yourself?
I’d be more organized.
If you could lead a protest on one thing, what would it be?
I would protest the monarchy, definitely the monarchy. The monarchy is a thoroughly unfair institution that needs to be gotten rid of. It’s a waste of money and a waste of time and no one in Britain should support it.
