How does your hometown compare to Georgetown?
Newport News isn’t the same as northern Virginia is; it’s not like being from the surrounding area. Southern Virginia is considered the South and D.C. is not really, because it’s a lot more metropolitan obviously. I’m from a military town so I’m used to jet noise and stuff.
What do you do at Georgetown?
I’m going to be a D.C. Schools coordinator next semester and I have a radio show.
Do you ever feel pressure to be busy at Georgetown?
Yeah. I think it’s inescapable. I guess it’s just keeping yourself in check, and keeping a balance. That’s what everyone says I think.
What’s the hardest thing you’ve ever done?
My first semester freshman year was really rough because I didn’t know what I was doing — wasn’t used to the workload. I made a lot of mistakes in choosing my classes, so that was pretty rough. I’d say that was my hardest Georgetown experience.
Who’s a TV character you see yourself in?
Right now I’m watching “House of Cards,” so it would be cool to be Claire Underwood. She’s scary, but I think it would be fun.
