Do you feel obliged to be busy at Georgetown?
I think definitely. Georgetown culture encourages students to be busy with their schoolwork and extracurriculars, and I feel like if you’re not busy, you’re kind of out of it, like the whole social life at Georgetown revolves a lot around clubs, so I’d say yes.
Do you feel like you fit in at Georgetown?
I feel that Georgetown has a lot of different kinds people, so I feel like no matter what you can find people to fit in with, so yes.
What are your plans after Georgetown?
I hope that I can go on to graduate school and work as a physician’s assistant.
What’s your favorite class that you’ve taken at Georgetown?
My favorite class so far at Georgetown was this semester, “Health Promotion and Disease Prevention,” because it kind of was a mixture of public health and the stuff that I’ve been learning in human science, and it was very interactive and just really interesting. And also my professor was very engaging, so it was very good.
What is the hardest thing you’ve ever done?
I don’t know, that’s a hard one … I’ll go with college. I think maybe just with the transition from going from high school to college, kind of being forced to go out of your comfort zone and meet new people and try new things. I think it’s always kind of tough, and getting used to being on your own … so just kind of like the whole college experience.
What’s your greatest fear?
Looking back when I’m older and thinking I didn’t take all the opportunities, I didn’t appreciate my opportunities enough. Being at school and not making the most of it, that’s something I definitely think about.
What do you like to do for “me time”?
I got to say — and I think my roommate would agree — I watch a whole ton of Netflix.
Do you have a phrase or mantra you live by?
I don’t know that I necessarily have one, but I always kind of feel that when things get bad, I just think that everything will be fine, and that there’s definitely a plan. No matter what, even if you’re not having a good day and everything seems bad, I feel that in the long run everything will be fine and everything happens for a reason.
What is the one of the happiest and most fun things you’ve ever done?
I’m just going to say in my college experience so far because I can’t think of my entire life. At Georgetown one of the most fun things was during NSO, taking a trip to the monuments and around D.C. and realizing what an amazing place it was and how lucky I was to be here.
